Sherwin-Williams ProMar 200 vs. SuperPaint & Cashmere vs. Emerald (2026 Guide)

By Nedal Muntaser, Founder & Lead Estimator at Render Technologies Inc. · Published 2026-10-21

Paint names are loud. The useful question is what you pay for a real room. On a 12×12 in Northeast Ohio, Render Spaces prices three Sherwin-Williams paths at $677.50, $846.88, and $1,084.00.

You pick the path in the quote at GoRenderSpaces.com. The can on the wall matches the package you chose. You do not have to decode a store chip wall by yourself.

Good is ProMar 200 Zero VOC at $677.50. Better is SuperPaint or Cashmere at $846.88, with an airtight touch-up container. Best is Emerald or Duration Home at $1,084.00, with LED inspection-light prep and new white nylon wall plates.

Which can goes with which price

Package Paint 12×12 price
Good ProMar 200 Zero VOC $677.50
Better SuperPaint or Cashmere $846.88
Best Emerald or Duration Home $1,084.00

ProMar 200 is the clean refresh. I use it when the walls are sound and the color is close to what is already there. SuperPaint and Cashmere are the step up when you want a tougher film and a sealed jar of the same paint for later nicks.

Emerald and Duration Home are the Best paints. The visit also includes a slow pass with an inspection light and plates that are new, not the yellowed ones we took off.

From the Jobsite: I open the touch-up container on Better and Best before I leave, and I label the room on the lid. A year later, nobody remembers which can was the bedroom. The jar does.

The same paint, a lower room price

The paint brand does not remove the discounts. A flexible schedule, DIY plates, one wall color, and one trim color take Good from $677.50 to $575.39 up front.

That is 10%, 3%, 6%, and 6%. A verified pro within 5 miles makes the net $548.42. An empty room nets $511.75. Closets are still $75 and still start at zero.

Tools that keep a good can looking right

A Bosch Blaze GLM165-40 keeps the room size honest before any gallon is ordered. A 3M Small Hole Repair kit fills the nail holes so the finish is not bridging craters. I cut with a Purdy XL 2.5-inch brush and roll with a Wooster Sherlock 9-inch frame.

Cheap rollers make expensive paint look cheap. That is true for ProMar 200 and for Emerald.

From the Jobsite: I do not switch brands in the middle of a room to "use up a gallon." The sheen will show in the raking light. Stay with the package you booked.

Pick the can for the next five years

If you will sell the house this year, Good is the sensible can. If this is the room you live in, Better or Best is the one I would book. The prices above are the whole room, not a price per gallon on a shelf.

ProMar 200 Zero VOC. That is the Good package on a standard 12×12 room.
